Washington Square Park Tour: A Community Space Past and Present

While Jane Jacobs’ battle for a car-free Washington Square Park in the late 1950s might be the best-known fight for the design of this iconic public space, it was not the only time in its history that the community and others have had an impact on its design. Tour the park with Sheryl Woodruff, Community Development Director at the Washington Square Park Conservancy, and explore the people, ideas, and design that have made a mark on the public Square we know andJane's Walk love today.
