Washington Square Park Folk Festival

folk-festival-squaredanceThe sixth annual Washington Square Park Folk Festival celebrates the long tradition of folk music performance and culture—a tradition that can trace its roots to the birth of the genre in New York City in the 1940s. The festival–which has been extended to two days this year, for the first time–will close, per tradition, with a community square dance.

There is limited bleacher seating, attendees are encouraged to bring additional seating or blankets.
